Care & Gain is a high calorie, soaked feed suitable for those prone to laminitis. It is ideal for poor doers who need to gain weight or those still in work requiring higher energy levels, whilst keeping starch and sugar levels low (9% combined).

Calories are provided from easily digestible fibre and oil sources, allowing controlled weight gain whilst supporting normal metabolic function. In addition a probiotic (Actisaf), blend of prebiotics and postbiotic are included to aid the fibre fermentation process and support a healthy digestive system. Utilising fibre and oil sources also supports maintaining a calm and even temperament, with owners who have trialled Care & Gain reporting a reduction in fizzy, unwanted behaviours leading to a more pleasant and polite horse or pony.

Care & Gain contains high quality protein sources to support muscle maintenance in older horses and ponies, alongside elevated vitamins C and E to support the body’s immune system, antioxidant capacity and muscle function.

Older horses or those not feeling their best can often be fussy or ‘go off’ their feed. Care & Gain is highly palatable containing mint, fenugreek, seaweed, dandelion and nettle for their well known properties and to tempt even the fussiest of feeders, in fact during our trial 100% of participants licked their bowls clean!

We have formulated Care & Gain to be quick and simple for owners to feed, soaking in under 3 minutes in cold water, alongside being fully balanced with vitamins and minerals*. No soya, molasses, alfalfa or whole cereal grains are included in Care & Gain plus it is manufactured with non-GM ingredients.

As with any new feed we release, Care & Gain has been extensively trialled on a range of horses and ponies, including those that are retired or at rest and those still leading an active lifestyle. The results have been overwhelmingly positive with owners reporting that their horse feels like their old selves again alongside weight gain, improved muscle tone, skin, hoof and coat condition.
